Cross-Country Skiing in Austria – Hotel Tauernhof, Grossarl
Cross-country skiers in Grossarl can explore the 30 kilometre-long stretch to Hüttschlag. This cross-country ski run has an excellent track –mostly for both styles, classic and skating.
The Grossarl Valley in its wondrous winter majesty is experienced at its best when cross-county skiing. The cross-country run is about 30 kilometres long and leads from Grossarl to the end of the valley at the National Park Hohe Tauern. Just before the village of Hüttschlag you do have to walk a short way, but it is worth it. Otherwise you can turn back at Hüttschlag.
The cross-country skiing track von Grossarl can be classed as easy to intermediate with a short incline to be mastered. The run has for the most part both styles, classic and skating, and has a perfectly prepared track. You ski through a wonderfully sparkling snow-clad landscape, the imposing mountains forming the backdrop. On returning to the hotel, you can relax in the pool and sauna area or let yourself be pampered in the spa.
