The Grossarl outdoor pool is just a stone’s throw from the Vitalhotel Tauernhof and is open from 9:00 to 19:30 daily if the weather is nice.

The Grossarltal 6-seater gondola lift starts very close to the Hotel Tauernhof, and takes you up to a height of 1850 m above sea level in just a few minutes. From here there are countless hiking opportunities and some interesting mountain bike routes.
Großglockner High Alpine Road
More than 50,000,000 people have come and experienced this impressive Alpine road, by car, motorbike, or bus. The trip to the top is a rare display of nature, taking you through different vegetation zones around the highest mountain in Austria, from cornfields through to glacial ice.

Ferleiten Animal Park
Right at the bottom of the Großglockner High Alpine Road is a 15 Hectare animal park, home to more than 200 animals that have the region as their habitat. In the middle, there is a large pool with plenty of places to sit and rest, and a viewing tower. There are informative notices telling you about the flora and fauna of the Alps.
