The air is so clear, and tradition is within reach. Our Zapfn&Streich double rooms draw their inspiration from the larch forests of the Grossarl mountains and the customs practised here in the valley. Added to this is a panoramic bath that invites you to soak and take a deep breath.

Beautiful on the outside and just as beautiful on the inside. For these rooms, we interpret the traditional “Zapfnstreich” as it should be—namely, as a moment of tranquility. But we also give it a personal meaning, because the larch cone plays an important role for us. The larch tree grows only where the soil is rich and the air is clear—and you’ll feel exactly that quality in our Zapfn&Streich rooms. In Grossarl, people love to sleep with the windows open and let the fresh mountain air work its magic.
Throughout the rooms, you’ll find small nods to traditions that have been passed down for generations: references to milking and life on the alpine pastures tell little stories. You can then reflect on these and many other things while soaking in the panoramic bathtub. From there, you’ll have an unobstructed view of the mountains.
We also deliberately chose the word “Streich” in the rooms’ names, because just like tradition, Austrian wit, coziness, and the fun with which we go through life are simply part of who we are.
Thanks to their location on the fifth floor of the hotel, you’ll enjoy a fantastic view from the spacious balcony. In these rooms, the bathroom and toilet are separate. There’s also a unique bathtub with a view.
